Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is as unguardable as they come. He has one of the best handles in the NBA today, possesses tremendous footwork, and, of course, is the greatest shooter of all time. This is exactly why defenders resort to all sorts of techniques in trying to stop Curry.

Raja Bell, a former two-time All-Defensive team member, recently came out with a shocking admission as to how he intentionally tried to hurt Curry the first time they met on the basketball court. In a recent interview on 95.7 The Game, Bell revealed how he once tried to literally clothesline Curry when they first played against each other.

“I actually tried the 1st time I played him,” Bell admitted, via Lee Tran of Fadeaway World. “I tried to bully him. It didn't work though… Unlike some of the guards that are really dancing on the ball… Steph isn't on the ball that much anymore… as a defender you're only as good as the help you get…I don't know how you would guard him, it's impossible.”

Bell was as tough as they come and certainly fits the bill of being an over-aggressive and physical defender. Nevertheless, even one of the top stoppers in the NBA admits that guarding Stephen Curry is simply impossible — despite his rather violent approach.

Bell played in an era that some would say was much tougher and more physical than today's NBA. If he had a hard time trying to cover Curry back then, you can only imagine how today's defenders struggle to try and contain the Warriors superstar.
