The Golden State Warriors were linked to Ben Simmons for most of the offseason but didn't end up pulling off a blockbuster for him due to the 76ers' demands in a possible package. In fact, the Dubs didn't exactly make any big moves, which has left franchise star Stephen Curry a little bit frustrated.

Via NBC Sports Bay Area:

“If you're not having those conversations, then you're not trying,” Curry said. “Let's put it that way.”

Steph and several other players reportedly have a meeting with the Warriors front office to discuss the chance of trading for a superstar, but unfortunately, nothing materialized. It's certainly a positive that Klay Thompson will be back by the end of the year, but Golden State certainly could've used another weapon alongside Curry.

Bradley Beal was another player they reportedly had an interest in, but he committed his future to the Wizards after their big trade with the Lakers. Curry was smart with his comments though and didn't go too in-depth because repercussions could come his way. After all, Warriors CEO Joe Lacob recently discussed how Simmons wouldn't have been a good fit for the Dubs, which resulted in a $50,000 fine.

Despite not making a big splash in the summer, the Warriors should still be very competitive and get back to the playoffs especially with Thompson back and an improved year from James Wiseman.
