Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry made an appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday night. Curry's team had just come off a dominating 130-111 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, but Curry must've known that one particular clip would be waiting for him on the comedy show.

He had maybe the most embarrassing sequence of his career just 24 hours prior, and of course, Corden had to show the audience:

Thankfully, Corden gave the three-time champion a chance to explain himself. Stephen Curry gave a humorous answer, claiming:

“What happened was, the L.A. Kings had a game right before us, and they must not have put the floor all the way over the ice, ‘cuz there was a little wet spot right there and I slipped.”

Curry went on to explain that he was ready to do a crazy dunk that he had never pulled off before, but it obviously never materialized.

When he was asked to explain the airball, the shooter claimed he was still dizzy from his spill, messing up his accuracy.

Although the terrible sequence was certainly an anomaly, it wasn't even the craziest thing that happened in the game. Curry's backcourt mate, Klay Thompson, set a new NBA record for most threes made without a miss when he nailed 10 shots from behind the arc consecutively.

Curry and the Warriors will resume play on Thursday against the Washington Wizards and it's a good bet that he will be on the highlight reel instead of the blooper reel this time around.
