Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry set a new record, hitting the most triples in a half in NBA All-Star Game history. Curry sank 8 three's in the first half of the 2022 NBA All-Star Game Sunday, as Team LeBron and Team Durant have gone back and forth.

The vast majority of those shots came during the second quarter, as Curry caught fire. However, Team Durant held a one-point lead at halftime, 94-93. Curry's sharp-shooting skills have been at the forefront of the game so far this year. He leads all scorers with 24 points at halftime.

The NBA was looking for ways to increase the competitiveness throughout the all-star game, as opposed to simply the end of the game. To that end, the NBA was giving out $100,000 to the team that won each quarter. That money would then go to the charity that they are playing for.

Curry clearly took that very seriously Sunday evening. At half, both teams have won one quarter for each of their charities.

Thus far, the biggest splash has been from the rising star of the NBA this season. Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant threw down an incredible spinning 360 alley oop jam late in the first half.
