The Denver Nuggets are in a deep, deep hole right now after falling to the mighty Golden State Warriors 0-3 in their opening-round series. The Dubs onslaught has just been too much to handle for the Nuggets thus far and it has Denver coach Michael Malone turning to Greek mythology to try and make sense of how hot the Warriors are at the moment.

According to Malone, the Warriors trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole has forced him to do a bit of research just to be able to put into words how amazing these three have been in the series:

“What's a three-headed monster in Greek mythology,” Malone said he asked his assistant, via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “And it's like ‘Cerberus.'”

That's weirdly accurate from the Nuggets coach. That's not exactly a description you hear about this trio every day but oddly enough, it just sounds right.

“The efficiency which they are doing it is probably more scary than anything,” Malone said. “We made them work and make tough shots and that is what they do. … One of the things we talked about is how do you take one of those three-headed monsters away.”

The Nuggets aren't giving up, though. The Warriors may hold a seemingly insurmountable series lead, but as they always say, it ain't over 'til it's over.
