Golden State Warriors two-time MVP winner Stephen Curry had a miserable shooting night on Saturday, as his team fell to the Houston Rockets in overtime, 126-121.

Nevertheless, Curry is anything but worried about his recent slump, and he remains confident that his shot will eventually start falling again:

“A couple more shots go my way, this game could be different,” Curry said, via Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. “But that’s basketball for you. I’ll probably be thinking about it tonight, go to sleep and turn the page.”

Despite his unwavering self-belief, Curry did acknowledge that he is indeed in a bit of a hole right now. The 30-year-old shot a miserable 7-of-23 overall and 2-of-9 from distance against the Rockets en route to just 17 points.

With the defeat, the Warriors are still up in the series, 2-1, with a pivotal Game 4 scheduled on Monday night. Curry recognizes the gravity of that matchup and relayed how he is adamant that he will have a much better performance:

“In terms of where we are as a team, again, up 2-1, an opportunity on Monday to go get a win and leave it all out there on the floor, that’s what you want going into a series against a great team like that. I know we’ll all be ready,” said Curry.

“Obviously, I want to shoot the ball better. That’s gonna happen.”

It's hard to argue against Stephen Curry here, as he is one of the greatest shooters of all time. Shooters do have a tendency to have slumps, but as the three-time NBA champ explained, it's only going to be a matter of time before he gets his form back.
