Following a Game 2 win over the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala provided an insightful passage into his motivation to keep playing, despite being visibly hurt. Iguodala's response was a simple yet unexpected “I like Steph,” listing the reasons why he's willing to put his body on the line to protect his teammate's legacy.

Those comments made their way back to Curry, as Iguodala said he gets an extra kick out of “sticking it” to teams and players who are jealous of Curry and the Warriors' success:

“I don't know what they say behind closed doors or whatever they whisper around, what they think of my game. It's not anything I lose any sleep over,” Curry told Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports following his news conference at Oracle Arena on Tuesday.

“People want what you have. Obviously, I had the same vibe before we got to the top. You work your ass off every year to try to get to this stage and every year we're there. It's like, ‘I want what they got.’ We've been there five straight times, so a lot of people have seen us on this stage.”

The envy has been somewhat palpable for those who have witnessed Curry's rise to the top, one that came with his first appearance in the NBA Finals in 2015, while others had a more rocky ascent to the top.

Curry was hardly ever in the picture as an up-and-coming star, yet he skyrocketed after being made the team's leader, quickly finding success in Steve Kerr's system — a marriage made in heaven for player and coach.

Regardless of this jealousy, Curry has kept his eyes firm on the prize, now sitting three wins away from a third straight title and his fourth in the last five years.
