Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry shared a light moment with his former teammate in Zaza Pachulia at halftime of their game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

With the Warriors in dire straights at the center position due to injury, Curry joked to Pachulia about needing him to suit up. Zaza responded with a joke of his own:

The former NBA big man retired back in 2019 but rejoined the Warriors organization to serve as a front office consultant. Pachulia played two seasons with Golden State, winning titles in 2017 and 2018.

Pachulia is infamously known to have tripped Kawhi Leonard back in Game 1 of the 2017 Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. Due to the incident, Leonard was sidelined for the rest of the series, which ultimately ended the Spurs' campaign during that particular season.

In the 2017-18 season, Pachulia had an encounter with Russell Westbrook in a regular-season game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Pachulia fell onto Westbrook's knee, irking the 2017 NBA MVP. Pachulia denied that it was intentional and bared that he only got caught up with the legs of his teammate in Nick Young, which caused him to land on Westbrook.

On Tuesday night against the Celtics, Curry and the Warriors sure could have used a big presence like Pachulia. Already without rookie James Wiseman and Marquese Chriss, Kevin Looney suffered an ankle injury and will also miss time, leaving the Dubs dangerously thin at center.

Curry came out with a stellar performance of 38 points on 7-of-14 shots from beyond the arc along with 11 rebounds and eight assists. However, his high-scoring production from the field still wasn't enough to give his team the much-needed victory. The small Warriors got slammed on the boards in a 111-107 loss.

Golden State dropped to an 11-10 record for the ninth spot in the Western Conference. Stephen Curry and his squad will look to grab a win as they head to a Texas road trip starting with a tilt against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
