Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has already put the league on notice with his scoring outbursts in recent games. However, their opponents also came in prepared as they often trap Curry in a box-and-1 defense to prevent him from getting his rhythm on the floor.

The two-time NBA MVP admitted that his team still needs more time to figure it out but he will still remain aggressive and keep looking for his shots in their coming games, per Anthony Slater.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr also shed light on his team's struggles in figuring out the defensive schemes that their opponents are throwing at them, most especially on Curry.

The box-and-1 defense was seen being implemented against the Warriors in their last three games against the Los Angeles Clippers, Toronto Raptors, and the Indiana Pacers.

Steve Kerr and his squad managed to overcome the Clippers behind Curry's 38 points and 11 assists en route to a 115-105 victory. The Raptors' box-and-1 defense on Curry worked as he was only limited to a measly output of 11 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Despite the low production from Curry, the Warriors still ran away with a 106-105 win due to a missed game-winner by Pascal Siakam.

Curry managed to bounce back on his individual performance against the Pacers as he tallied 20 points of his own but it wasn't enough for his team to get the victory. The Warriors succumbed at the hands of the Pacers on a 104-95 defeat.

More of their opponents will certainly implement the box-and-1, knowing that it can throw the Warriors off guard. With a 6-5 record, Steve Kerr and his men will have to figure out how to get around the scheme if they want to win their coming games moving forward.
