It's only a matter of time until Stephen Curry returns to the starting lineup. The two-time MVP has come off the bench in the playoffs so far, sparking a dominant Golden State Warriors attack with instant offense alongside fellow sharpshooters Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole.

The Warriors' new favorite lineup featuring those three guards next to Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green has absolutely blitzed the Denver Nuggets, playing with the type of activity, intensity and overall verve that's made Golden State an increasingly popular title pick. Obviously, that quintet will still see plenty of court time whenever Steve Kerr decides to move Curry back to the starting unit.

What remains unknown, though, is whose place in the opening five Curry will be taking. Poole has forced his way into the starting lineup with scintillating play offensively, while Thompson and Wiggins have found a groove after inconsistent regular seasons. Green clearly isn't going anywhere. Odds are that Kevon Looney will soon move to the bench.

Not that Curry is counting down the days until that happens, though. He's perfectly content coming off the bench as long as Golden State continues to play well, setting a sterling example for his teammates to follow.

The Warriors are up 2-0 on the short-handed Nuggets entering Thursday's Game 3. Though Curry will be on the bench when the game starts, he's poised to get more burn on Thursday than in either of the first two games of the playoffs after Golden State “elevated” his minutes restriction.

Don't be surprised if Curry shows out again in Game 3. He and the Warriors seem to be peaking at exactly the right time, both physically and mentally.
