It was such a surprise to many when the Golden State Warriors took down the heavily favored Houston Rockets on Christmas Day. Fueled by a historical season from shooting guard James Harden, the Rockets have established themselves as one of the best teams in the NBA. That didn't matter in the end though as Golden State would win 116-104 behind 22 points and 15 rebounds from center Damion Lee. The way his team played obviously made Warriors head coach Steve Kerr happy.

The Warriors bench was often seen celebrating late in the game. An action that resulted in a warning being called on the team prompting Kerr to challenge game officials to even hand out technicals if need be.

“At one point the ref, he wanted me to tell our guys to not run on the floor. I said that's not happening,” Kerr said. “We've had a lousy season. We're gonna run on the floor. If you gotta call a T, call a T.”

Kerr mentioned that the interaction with the ref happened late in the game, without around one minute remaining.

Despite the massive amount of success the Warriors have enjoyed over the past half-decade, the team has undeniably struggled to start the season. Injuries to star player Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson certainly are a big part of the Warriors struggles, but as of writing, Golden State sits at 8-24 on the season and are in last place in the Western Conference.

With 50 games remaining, this season is a bit of a lost cause for Golden State. In the same vein, the team needs to celebrate wins when they can.
