Golden State Warriors stars Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry both got in early foul trouble in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had some jokes about it after the 132-105 win, saying he trusts Durant to play with foul trouble but isn't so sure about Curry:

Durant picked up two fouls in under two minutes, but Kerr stuck with him for over eight minutes in the first quarter anyway. The move paid off, as KD poured in 12 points in the opening frame. The Warriors star only had one more foul the entire game and finished with 38 points on 14-of-23 shooting.

Curry picked up his second foul with just over four minutes to play in the first quarter, but Kerr did let him play almost the entire frame. Curry scored 13 of his 21 points in the quarter.

However, Curry was limited to just 20 minutes in the game because of foul trouble and the blowout nature of the game. Kerr yanked Curry early in the third quarter after the two-time MVP picked up his fourth foul. The Warriors coach did something similar in Game 2, which helped kickstart the Clippers' historic comeback. Luckily for the Warriors, there was no collapse in this one.

Curry usually doesn't get in bad foul trouble, but he sometimes has the tendency to pick up cheap fouls when he's reaching on defense. Furthermore, Durant has averaged fewer personal fouls per game than Curry over the course of their careers. So, while Kerr was joking, it does actually make some sense to trust Durant more than Curry when it comes to managing fouls.
