Andrew Wiggins has been vaccinated, and so Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr wants all the talk about the issue to stop.

Kerr himself confirmed that Wiggins has finally decided to take the COVID-19 vaccine, and he shared how the swingman appreciated their acknowledgement of it. However, the Warriors head coach emphasized that it's the last time he would be talking about it since it is all resolved now.

“Andrew got vaccinated. He just told me today that he was fine with us acknowledging it and that will be the end of it. I’m not going to answer any questions beyond that,” Kerr said, per Nick Friedell of ESPN.

Steve Kerr also refused to go into detail about Andrew Wiggins' vaccination and the reason why he decided to take it after his initial refusal and attempt to get a religious exemption. However, it is certainly a welcome development for the Warriors since the issue created some unnecessary drama around the team.

Wiggins would have not been allowed to play home games due to the vaccine mandate in San Francisco. With that, he  was also risking not getting paid for the games that he would miss due to being unvaccinated.

Fortunately for the Warriors, they wouldn't have to think about Wiggins and his possible absence anymore after his latest decision. In fact, the 26-year-old will be available to play for the team on Monday when they face the Portland Trail Blazers for their first preseason game for the 2021-22 season.
