Plenty of eye-catching things took place during Stephen Curry's 30th birthday bash on Monday night. From the birthday man arriving on a yacht to Klay Thompson nearly spraining an ankle with his dance moves, to the Golden State Warriors coaches getting their groove on to the players' surprise.

According to Kevin Durant, the moment that made the night was coach Steve Kerr prompting to renew his wedding vows on stage.

“Coach went on stage and took his wife to renew his vows and he asked her ‘would you do this s**t again?' and she was like ‘yeah, I guess' and that was it,” said Durant after a 117-106 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. “So that's probably how I will do it.”

How's that for unexpected?

There's no way to know if it was the liquor talking or the sheer euphoria of living in the moment, but asking to renew wedding vows at a birthday party is definitely one of the oddest things to happen and it could not have been sweeter without the use of the word “s**t.”

Guess there's a romantic side to coach Kerr, even in the most strange of situations.

The Warriors will hope to renew their vows to Kerr at the end of this season, likely planning to negotiate another long-term deal to keep him at the helm of this All-Star studded roster.

While there are some who throw shade at his hand in Golden State's success by saying that he inherited Mark Jackson's team, there's no questioning the amount of work he has committed into making the Warriors play like a well-oiled mean machine on a nightly basis.
