SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors won their biggest blowout of the season on Friday night, destroying the New Orleans Pelicans by 41 points. During that game, the Dubs launched 50 three-pointers and connected on 20 of them, a 40% success rate.

The Warriors shot more threes than they did twos against the Pelicans. After the game, Steve Kerr was asked if his team launching that many triples was part of Golden State's system and whether he was okay with such a massive three-point rate.

“I didn't even know that until you just mentioned it, so it wasn't anything that seemed out of character or out of the system,” Kerr said. “I just thought we got good shots. The ball was moving, and the guys did a great job of finding each other,” Steve Kerr said.

The Warriors took a whopping 69 shots from beyond the arc in a preseason game last month. After that game, Kerr said he would be okay with the team shooting 80 threes as long as they are good shots. I wouldn't think he'd have a problem with 50, especially after a win.

The Warriors haven't shot the ball their best so far this season, but have enough shooters on the roster to outshoot anyone. Still, they rank third in the NBA in three-point percentage at 38.4% and first in makes with 16.1 per game.

These numbers will increase when Klay Thompson returns and when Stephen Curry finds his rhythm again. Once that happens, the Dubs might be unstoppable. Three-point shooting could end up being the most significant reason they are NBA champions at the end of the year.
