Golden State Warriors point guard guard D'Angelo Russell will miss Tuesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs because of a left shoulder contusion.

Russell suffered the injury in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He also is battling a virus that has affected multiple members of the team.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is unsure how long Russell will be out:

In his first season with the Warriors, D'Angelo Russell is averaging 23.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists. The lefty is shooting 43.3 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from beyond the arc and 76.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors are 9-25 on the season. They have the worst record in the Western Conference and the second-worst record in the NBA. Only the Atlanta Hawks (7-27) have a worse record than the Warriors.

Beyond Draymond Green, the rest of the Warriors’ core from the five-year Finals run is either injured or has moved on from Golden State. Stephen Curry is out with a broken left hand and is not expected to play soon. Klay Thompson is still rehabbing his left ACL tear which he sustained during the NBA Finals.

Kevin Durant has moved on from the Dubs and joined the Brooklyn Nets this past summer. KD is expected to miss the entire season for the Nets due to his Achilles tear.

Andre Iguodala was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies this past offseason, though he won’t play a single game for Memphis and is just waiting for his situation to be resolved. Shaun Livingston, meanwhile, retired.
