The season has been quite challenging, to say the least, for coach Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors had high hopes entering the campaign after a dismal 2019-20 stint. As Kerr has seen, however, it hasn't exactly been smooth sailing. But after a ton of health problems and chemistry issues, it seems they are back to their winning ways.

After another big home win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, Kerr told reporters they have their eyes locked on their five-game stretch which could be huge for the Warriors as the NBA enters the midseason mark (via Anthony Slater of The Athletic).

The Warriors, who now find themselves skimming the surface of a postseason spot after 28, have a set of very winnable games coming up. After they host the struggling Miami Heat on Wednesday, they have a four-game road trip against teams that have a .500 winning record or below, namely the Orlando Magic (10-18), the Charlotte Hornets (13-15), the New York Knicks (14-15), and the Indiana Pacers (14-14).

Kerr and the Warriors easily dismantled the Cavaliers, 129-98. Stephen Curry once again led the charge with a game-high 36 points built on seven three-pointers. Five other Warriors finished in twin digits in scoring, while Draymond Green contributed six points, eight rebounds, and a career-best 16 assists.

The Warriors can definitely use some more wins in the coming weeks to further build momentum. If they can get things together in their upcoming crucial stretch, Steve Kerr and his wards could propel themselves to a top-four spot in the Western Conference.
