Every single young kid who plays basketball has that dream of one day playing in the NBA. For Gary Payton II, it always seemed a little bit more realistic since his father is a Hall of Famer. After years of moving around to different teams in the league, Payton finally found a home with the Golden State Warriors and certainly played his part in helping them win their fourth title in eight years.

Now, get ready. This moment between GP2 and his father, around 20 years apart, will bring tears to your eyes.

Via Bleacher Report:

That's GP2 as a youngster, spending each and every day watching his dad do his thing on the court. The second half of the video is The Glove expressing how proud he is of his son for all that he's accomplished with the Warriors. The definition of a full-circle moment.

Payton now becomes a free agent this summer but after finding a nice role in the Bay Area, there is certainly a good chance they bring him back. Although he did miss time in the postseason after fracturing his elbow, GP2 averaged 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 71 contests for the Warriors during the regular season, serving as one of their best defensive cogs.

I suppose he got that trait from his father.
