After losing in a blowout to the Phoenix Suns, the Golden State Warriors have found themselves in a three-game losing streak heading into the All-Star break. They're just over the .500 mark with a 19-18 record, so if this team wants to make the playoffs, they have to find a way to improve during the second half of the season.

After the loss to the Suns, head coach Steve Kerr was asked what he'd like to see James Wiseman improve on the most. He gave an immediate response, saying, “Rebounding.”

Kerr's quick response is accurate. The Warriors currently average 43.3 rebounds per game, ranking them 22nd in the league according to ESPN. For a team fighting to stay alive in the playoff race, rebounding would be a fantastic way for Golden State to improve their win percentage. It would provide some better consistency, creating opportunities for second-chance points as well.

Furthermore, improving on rebounding the ball would go a long way in James Wisman's development. Considering he plays center, he'll be viewed as the focal point of rebounding throughout his career. So far this season, Wisman is averaging 11.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. He does come off the bench, however, his 5.9 rebound average lower than it should be, considering he spends most of his time down low in the paint.

As Kerr said, the kid is only 19 years old. Wisman still has a ton of room to grow, and his potential is through the roof. If the Warriors can be patient with him and teach him how to play the right way, they have a future superstar on their hands.
