Warriors rookie Moses Moody reveals the one thing he has learned from watching Klay Thompson make it rain
We’ve all seen the viral videos of Klay Thompson making it rain during workouts with the Golden State Warriors. Most have seen the in-game highlights of the flame thrower breaking three-point records. There’s nothing quite like seeing a perfectionist at work in person, and rookie Moses Moody understands that now more than ever.
The rookie out of Arkansas was one of the best shooters in the 2021 NBA Draft class. Moody is highly confident about his shooting ability, and he’s constantly working on becoming a better shooter for the Warriors. Playing alongside two of the NBA’s best shooters should help him tremendously. In Moody’s short time around Thompson, he’s studying him.
In a radio interview on the Bay Area’s 95.7 The Game, Moody revealed the first thing he’s learned from watching Thompson.
“I got some work to do,” Moody said with a laugh.

Thompson is an all-time great shooter. Seeing the amount of work and effort he puts into his shot is indescribable. He’s a career 42% percent shooter from long range and has never had a season where he shot under 40% from deep with the Warriors.
When it comes to Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Steve Kerr, there are no better shooting mentors in the world. Moody being around the greatest shooters in the NBA gives him great opportunities to perfect his shot.
In his one season at Arkansas, Moody shot 36% percent from the three-point line. In his first year with the Warriors, he should get quality looks playing with Thompson and Curry. It could possibly set him up for a highly efficient shooting season. If he can shoot it consistently, he will be essential to the Warriors making a playoff run.
