Stephen Curry and his family are unfortunately facing internal strife that has gone public. The news that the Golden State Warriors star's mom, Sonya Curry, had filed for divorce from her husband, Dell Curry, took many by surprise.
It has been reported that the source of their separation lies in accusations of cheating coming from both sides. Golden State's unofficial first family has sadly been split. Neither Stephen Curry nor his brother Seth have provided any reactions to the personal matter thus far.
But according to MTO news, Stephen Curry's allegiance allegedly lies with his mother.
MTO News has learned that son Steph and wife Ayesha have chosen sides… A family friend of the Warriors star explained, “[Steph] has a special relationship with his mother, and so he's supporting her.”
The insider added, “[Steph's] relationship with his father is strained after this. He's disappointed that [Dell] would put all their family business out there, and he doesn't believe the accusations against his mother.”
However, since none of this is coming from the Warriors star or the parties actually involved, take this news with a grain of salt.
The Golden State Warriors and their fans only hope for the best for Stephen Curry and his family. All we can hope for is that both sides come to an amicable agreement that leaves everyone better off.
