D'Angelo Russell hasn't been with the Golden State Warriors long, but he's already putting in work with some of his new teammates, including Draymond Green.

Russell and Green were spotted working out together on Thursday. Along with practicing their shooting skills, the two players also ran some pick-and-pop plays with the trainers who were on hand:

Russell, now 23 years of age, was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Warriors this offseason as part of a deal for Kevin Durant.

Russell posted the best statistical figures of his career last season. The former No. 2 overall pick made 81 appearances with the Nets (all starts), racking up averages of 21.1 points on 43.4 percent shooting from the field (36.9 percent from beyond the arc), 7.0 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 30.2 minutes per outing.

Beyond his great stats, Russell also helped the Nets finish with a winning record for the first time in five seasons.

Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson, who is going to miss most of next season due to an ACL tear, says Russell is going to be a superstar in the NBA:

“Adding D’Angelo Russell, who was an incredible get for us
That kid is going to blossom into a superstar in this league,” Thompson said earlier this month.

The Warriors finished the 2018-19 regular-season campaign with an impressive 57-25 overall record, which earned the team a No. 1 overall seed in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, though, the Dubs were defeated by the Toronto Raptors in the championship round, 4-2.
