Fresh off of his highly-publicized alleged physical altercation with perpetual nemesis Tristan Thompson, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is at it again, taking a shot at yet another NBA colleague.

This time around, the 28-year-old has set his sights on Chicago Bulls guard Denzel Valentine and his kicks. A brief video taken by Green himself focuses on Valentine's chosen footwear, to which Green says, “what the f*** are those?”

Green clearly did not agree with Valentine's shoe preference that evening and has since shared his disdain on social media. Those familiar with the sneaker game might differ in opinion with Green here, as Valentine appears to have the famed Jordan 12 Retro Taxi on his feet.

Green, who is usually seen sporting the latest Nike releases during games, is not exactly a fan of the retro variety of basketball kicks. He was brutally honest with Valentine here, openly stating how he despised the incoming third-year guard's retro Jordan's.

Through his insults, Green is actually able to raise a valid point when it comes to the hype that goes around in the sneaker game; particularly, with retro re-releases that are often short in supply and subsequently overpriced by resellers.

Most of the time, the actual design of the shoe plays second fiddle to its projected value. That is, the rarer and more expensive it is, the more desirable it becomes to the sneakerhead community.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this phenomenon, which appears to be purely motivated by hype. Nonetheless, Green is not one to jump on the bandwagon and has ruthlessly roasted Valentine for his taste in footwear.
