The Golden State Warriors honor DeMarcus Cousins this week with a video tribute highlighting his heart and determination.

Cousins joined the Dubs last summer, but he was only able to return last February as he recovered from the torn left Achilles he suffered during his stint with the New Orleans Pelicans. It was a difficult path for Cousins, who admitted in multiple occasions his frustration about his injury and recovery.

While Boogie wasn't able to return to his old, dominant self last season with the Warriors, he still gave the Dubs significant production. He averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 30 regular season games, helping Golden State top the Western Conference.

Unfortunately, his first playoffs appearance didn't go so well after sustaining a quad injury in the first round that kept him out until the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

Cousins eventually decided to leave the Warriors this offseason and opted to join the Los Angeles Lakers to reunite with his former Pelicans teammate Anthony Davis and to play alongside LeBron James.

The 28-year-old will now look for a new beginning and another shot at the NBA title with the Purple and Gold franchise. His time with the Warriors isn't what he hoped it would be, but one year removed from his injury, he has every opportunity to get back to his All-Star form.
