Whenever the Golden State Warriors are being talked about, most of their success is credited to the stellar play of their four All-Stars, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. However, they also have a formidable supporting cast that equally deserves high praise.

One of them is JaVale McGee, who has given them a strong inside presence, especially with his ability to block shots and grab rebounds. He also showed on Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs that he can throw down facials — you already know that though — as he posterized Davis Bertans off a behind-the-back pass from Klay Thompson.

It caused the crowd inside Oracle Arena to get on their feet, and the 7-foot center was also very hyped after his highlight reel worthy play.

Now in his second season in Oakland, the 30-year-old Nevada product is proving further that he still has value despite the countless videos of his comical and bizarre on-court forays.

McGee's season of averages of 4.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game may seem pedestrian at best, but his value to the defending champions is beyond his production, as his mere presence already changes a lot of shots and alleviates the pressure on his teammates shoulders not to miss shots, as they know he is there to chase some rebounds.

The dunk will only solidify his current position in the team as their starting center and should raise his confidence further as he sees more court action during the stretch run of the regular season.
