Those familiar with Klay Thompson are at least aware of the role his English Bulldog, Rocco, plays in his everyday life. It's no different during the rehabilitation process, as the Golden State Warriors marksman is tackling his workouts right next to his loyal companion.

He showed his Instagram fans as much during a quick video of his road to full recovery:

“Rocco's a great rehab dog,” said Thompson in the video caption. “Never willing to put in the work but always there for moral support.”

There are countless examples of dogs working out next to their pawtners, but Rocco is more of the cheerleading type.

With a robust core and short legs, it would be difficult for this gorgeous bulldog to get up and down the platform the same way Klay is doing. Yet Thompson has all the emotional support, as Rocco follows every bit of his ascent to the platform with the utmost attention.

The Warriors lost Klay to a season-ending injury in the latter stages of Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Thompson had 30 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the foul line after returning from a torn ACL injury to sink a pair of free throws.

He was taken to the locker room after returning mid-hall to shoot the pair, hoping he would be able to return. Minutes later, Thompson found out his left ACL was indeed torn, an injury that would put him out for the entire 2019-20 season after undergoing surgery last July.

It's been almost a full year since he sustained the injury, but this prolonged absence and Rocco's unwavering vigilance will ensure a speedy return for the five-time All-Star.
