Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green had a highly anticipated interview on Bleacher Report's Chips with former teammate Kevin Durant. It's widely believed the main reason Durant left the Bay Area was because of Green. In the promotional video of the interview, Green asked Durant the question we all want to know.

“How much did our argument against the Clippers drive you to ultimately leave the Warriors?”

Whenever two stars sit down and talk in front of cameras, it's entertaining, but all everyone cares about is how Durant will answer that question.

Durant made a controversial decision to join the Warriors in 2016 after Green's Dubs eliminated his Oklahoma City Thunder in the playoffs a few months earlier. It created a beef between Durant and former teammate Russell Westbrook, but that wasn't the only beef this move made.

The Warriors won back-to-back NBA championships with Durant, but the third year came with problems. It was a season head coach Steve Kerr said was arduous mainly because of all the injuries. The team was still winning games, and everything seemed like a dynasty was being maintained.

Then there was one argument on national TV that immediately made fans assume Durant would leave the Warriors the following season in free agency.

In the final seconds of regulation during an intense game with the Los Angeles Clippers, Green failed to give Durant the ball for the last shot of a tied ball game. He took the ball the entire length of the court, only to turn the ball over and allow the game to go into overtime. Durant was visually upset with Green's choice, and it created a fierce verbal argument where things got personal.

It was a big moment and likely played a big part in Durant's decision, but it wasn't the only thing that helped his decision to leave. Durant suffered an Achilles injury during the playoffs. Some believe the setback was not handled correctly by the organization. After sitting out, the entire Western Conference finals, Durant felt pressure to play in the championship round with the Warriors.

He returned to play in game five of the Finals and went down in the first quarter, tearing the same Achilles that he injured in the second round. Many felt the Warriors were irresponsible for allowing him to play. Durant didn't blame anyone, but that could certainly have had something to do with his departure.

Then there were also rumors of Durant not getting the love he felt he deserved. He was clearly the best player on the team, but Stephen Curry was still the man. No matter how many championships Durant helped bring, Curry would always be the top dog. With so many alpha males on one team, problems were sure to come. Not saying this is true, but it can easily be possible that the love the Bay Area has for Curry could have been a factor.

The good news is the answer to why Kevin Durant left the Warriors in free agency will be revealed. The rumors will go away while Green and Durant bury the hatchet publicly, which will be an incredible sight to see.
