The Washington Football Team racked up a fourth straight win at the expense of the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 action, with defensive end Chase Young putting forth the best game of his young playing career.

After the tilt, the rookie went on to pay a tribute to his late idol, Kobe Bryant:

“I like to think, ‘What would Kobe do?' Kobe wouldn't be smiling,” Young said, via Ethan Cadeux of NBC Sports Washington. “He'd put his head down and keep working to achieve what he wanted to achieve.”

Washington's entire defensive line was stifling all throughout the game against the depleted 49ers. The former Ohio State Buckeyes star produced two total tackles, a sack, and scored his first touchdown in the league.

Timely defensive stops down the stretch despite having a scoreless fourth quarter helped Washington earn a 23-15 victory to improve to a 6-7 standing. With the top spot in the NFC East, Young knows the job isn't over:

“We're not done yet. We got some more games left,” Young said. “We got to keep our head down, we got to keep moving.”

The mentality that Kobe Bryant help instilled in today's generation of athletes only speaks volumes of his huge impact beyond the sport of basketball. Young and the rest of the Washington Football Team are hoping they can sustain the momentum against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 proceedings.

It's unclear if starting quarterback Alex Smith will be able to go against the Seahawks due to a calf injury. However, Washington's defense has been terrific throughout this season, so another strong performance could carry them. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks will be a big challenge.
