The Washington Football Team held on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night, 17-15 to notch its third straight win. It was a nail-biting escape for coach Ron Rivera and his wards, as they intercepted the last-gasp pass of Seahawks star Russell Wilson to seal the deal.

The win helped the Washington Football Team improve to 5-6, maintaining the momentum that could carry the squad to at least a wild card ticket.

The victory was so huge and draining, Rivera couldn't help but let out a NSFW reaction as he was walking off the field after the game (via The Athletic's Ben Standig).

Led by quarterback Taylor Heinicke, the Washington Football Team dueled it out with the Saints in the low-scoring second half. Heinicke finished with 27-of-35 for 223 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, outplaying Wilson, who for the first time, lost three straight games as starting quarterback.

The pulsating win was a post-Thanksgiving Day treat for the fans at FedExField, as the Washington Football Team won only its third win in 20 games on Monday night since 1997. Perhaps that's also one of the reasons Rivera let out a massive sigh of relief.

With the race for the NFL Playoffs really tightening up, Rivera and company can't afford to drop more games. They can go for their fourth straight win on Sunday when they take on the road to visit the Las Vegas Raiders.
