Washington Football Team wide receiver Curtis Samuel simply can not catch a break with injuries this year.

Samuel came into Washington's home matchup against the New Orleans Saints as questionable due to a groin injury. He did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but he was limited during the team's scheduled practice session on Friday.

The Washington wideout earned the green light to feature against the Saints. However, he left the game during the first half and was subsequently ruled out due to a groin injury. He finished with a mere eight total yards during his time on the field.

Groin injuries have marred Samuel's early run with Washington. The former Ohio State standout was placed on the injured reserve list ahead of the season after he reaggravated the groin injury that he suffered during OTAs in June.

Samuel was activated off injured reserve just in time for Washington's Week 4 clash with the Atlanta Falcons after returning to practice ahead of the game. He totaled for four receptions for 19 receiving yards against the Falcons and most notably, he suffered no major setback with his groin injury.

A mere week later, Samuel has now suffered an apparent setback with his injury. For now, it remains to be seen on whether he may be sidelined for a lengthy period of time due to this nagging injury.

After falling to a 2-3 record following the 33-22 home loss to New Orleans, Washington will now shift gears to its Week 6 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
