Watch Dogs Legion 5.6 update will be its last update, and future seasons will just recycle content, Ubisoft announced.
Watch Dogs Legion will no longer be having any more updates after the current season ends, according to the latest dev post by Ubisoft. Since the game launched in October 2020, the game hasn't successfully captured a large enough market to justify its existence. New game modes, even the popular ones from amongst its players Invasion, aren't successful in capturing a new audience. One and a half years' worth of quality-of-life improvements didn't save the sinking ship. Now, Ubisoft is making it clear that Watch Dogs Legion 5.6 update, which was released in September 2021, will be Ubisoft's final title update for the game. Fans should no longer look forward to new content. The dev post reads:
“TU 5.6 was our final update for Watch Dogs: Legion. However, you can look forward to reward tracks in the Online Mode, containing both new and returning rewards. The current season 4 Rebels track, containing 80 ranks, will run until January 22, 2022, followed by Season 5 Stripes. After that, Seasons 3-5 will continue to cycle and return to the game, giving you the opportunity to acquire rewards you might have missed out on in the past. Some rewards to look forward to is a modified version of Aiden Pearce's jacket, and Jackson's mask and clothing set.”
We wanted to express our thanks to all players of Watch Dogs: Legion. You've built the best DedSec London could have hoped for. https://t.co/FMmOUXHDBf pic.twitter.com/CKV91DhKj1

Ubisoft thanks its Watch Dogs Legion fans, who are disappointed that Watch Dogs Legion 5.6 update will be the last update. Some comments call out Ubisoft for not finishing promised content, such as New Game Plus and Co-op in the campaign.
