The 2020 NFL Draft is creeping closer. And as it does, everyone is scrambling to try and predict who will go where, which teams will have the best and worst drafts and who is going to be the steal of the draft?

What about the dreaded drop, though? Every year there are players that many expect to go early who end up tumbling down the draft board.

Just last year, the Washington Redskins were one team to benefit from it multiple times.

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins was thought to be a top pick but fell to them at 15. Same thing with pass rusher Montez Sweat, who dropped to 26.

This happened with a lot of players over the years with Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn, Jimmy Clausen, Steven Jackson and Randy Moss just to name a few high-profile names.

With that in mind, it's foolish to think no one will see their name on the board much later than they thought in 2020. But who will it be?

It tends to be quarterbacks who take the biggest dip. The first four quarterbacks on the board are Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert and Jordan Love.

Burrow is set to be the first pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, going to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Washington Redskins are next and the evidence points to them taking pass rusher Chase Young with that pick.

After that though, everything gets foggy. One pick that people seem to believe is happening however, is Tua Tagovailoa going at No. 5 to the Miami Dolphins.

At the same time, there is the knowledge that at least a few teams have Tagovailoa as their No. 4 quarterback, which puts him in an odd place.

What makes it odd is that some believe a team will trade up with the Redskins to be able to take Tagovailoa at No. 2. So there's also a chance he goes that early. However, he might not be as highly regarded as a lot of people believe. Due to that, could we see a Quinn or Rodgers situation?

There is no doubt Tagovailoa is extremely talented. But some apparently believe he is a product of the strong Alabama offense. And even if a team doesn't believe that, they should at least be a little wary of his extended injury history.

With that in mind, Tagovailoa could go from someone people believe might be off the board with the second-overall pick to being the fourth quarterback off the board and falling towards the end of the first round.

That's a pretty steep drop. And while it's not a definite, there's still a chance it happens. And that would definitely be one of the biggest and most high-profile draft-day drops we've seen in quite some time.
