The Dallas Cowboys' offense has been in a funk, and Randall Cobb has to do something about it against the Los Angeles Rams.

In the last three games, Dallas has scored just 16 points per game and as a result, have gone 0-3. Fortunately for the Cowboys, the NFC East is incredibly bad this year and despite being just 6-7 on the season, Dallas is still tied for first in the division.

And while the blame for the offense's poor play can't be put on one player, if the Cowboys want to halt their three-game slide next weekend against the Los Angeles Rams, they'll need contributions from players not named Ezekiel Elliot or Amari Cooper.

The Rams are coming off a big statement win over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football and come into Dallas with a little bit of momentum. How quickly we forget that the Rams were in the Super Bowl less than a year ago.

Either way, if Dallas wants to get back on the right track, someone like wide receiver Randall Cobb will need to deliver a strong performance.

The 29-year-old NFL veteran has had a pretty nice bounce back year in his first season with Dallas. The former Green Bay Packer has caught 44 balls for 677 yards and three touchdowns this season, his best yardage numbers since 2015.

And while, Cobb is no longer the go-to receiver he was in his prime, he has proven to be a solid complimentary piece alongside Cooper and Michael Gallup.

After two consecutuve 100-yard performances in weeks 10 and 11, Cobb has come back down to Earth. Last game, the veteran reeled in just two of his five targets for 43 yards.

The Rams rank in the top 10 in the NFL in terms of passing defense and held MVP candidate Russell Wilson and the Seahawks to just 12 points last week.

However, with lockdown cornerback Jalen Ramsey likely focused on covering Cooper, an opportunity presents itself for Cobb to have a big game.

With the Cowboys offense on a cold streak and the Rams defense on a hot streak, Dallas desperately needs someone to step up. Cobb is a nine-year NFL veteran and has more experience than any Cowboy not named Jason Witten.

It's not just Cobb that needs to have a great game, the Cowboys will need a team effort to beat Los Angeles. Having the home field advantage will help and seeing the Philadelphia Eagles on their heels may motivate the team to get it together and play up to their potential.
