It has been an up-and-down start to the NFL career of Will Fuller. The 28-year-old was drafted by the Houston Texans with the 21st overall pick in the 2016 draft. He spent five seasons with the Texans where he had some really nice flashes. His best season was in 2020 when he recorded 53 receptions for 879 yards and 8 touchdowns. Things went south after this when Fuller took his talents to South Beach to play with the Miami Dolphins. He broke his thumb in Week Four and was forced to be shut down for the season. Prior to this, he had seen just 8 pass attempts thrown his way.

Despite being a first-round pick and still in his prime, Fuller has seemingly not seen the interest he has hoped on the free agent market. Injuries have been a theme thus far in his NFL career as well as a 6-game PED suspension he was handed. He has never played a full season and has only played more than 11 just once. The Notre Dame product remains a free agent and in search of a new team. When he is healthy and at his best, Will Fuller is a productive wide receiver. His impressive speed helps open up the field for the rest of the offense and provides a unique element.

While most of the free agent deals have already been handed out, it is not uncommon for players to sign during training camp. With Fuller still on the hunt for a new team, here are three destinations that could provide a new home for him.

3 best destinations for Will Fuller in 2022

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Cheifs shocked the world this offseason when they traded Tyreke Hill to the Miami Dolphins. The superstar receiver had been one of the focal points of the offense and a key weapon for Patrick Mahomes for several years. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, and Mecole Hardman will serve as the primary receiving options this year. It is impossible to replace the production and impact of Tyreke Hill with just one player.

While Will Fuller may not have the elusiveness that Hill does, his straight-line speed would still be a weapon in the offense. Adding him to the core of receivers the team currently has would provide another option for Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes to utilize. this would be an excellent chance for Fuller to make a statement and prove his worth to the NFL again. Few quarterbacks make life as easy as Patrick Mahomes, and there certainly would be some sort of role for him in Kansas City.

Baltimore Ravens

Another notable wider receiver move this offseason involved the Baltimore Ravens. The organization traded Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to the Arizona Cardinals for a first-round pick. As things currently stand, Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay, and James Proche II will be the primary receiving options. The storyline of Lamar Jackson's contract has dominated the offseason, but this should not stop the franchise from putting the best weapons around him.

While Will Fuller has limitations to his game, he certainly could carve out an opportunity in Baltimore. The franchise is coming off an 8-9 season where they need some new life. Adding Fuller to the roster would provide Jackson with a more proven weapon who has the types of flashes the team should be searching for.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers have been known for their impressive collection of receivers throughout most of the Aaron Rodgers era. This is not exactly the case this season. While bringing back Aaron Rodgers was the most notable move of the offseason, he will be without his top weapon. The Packers traded away Davante Adams following his league-leading year. Their wide receiver core will now be led by rookie Christian Watson, Allen Lazard, and Sammy Watkins.

Bringing in Will Fuller would provide the unit with a vertical threat that would be useful. As talented as Rodgers is, he needs weapons around him to elevate the roster to a contender. It will be a diffiuclt task for the four-time MVP and adding Fuller to the unit would give a new look to the group.

While Will Fuller may not be the reliable weapon he hoped to become, he is still a solid NFL receiver. It is surprising that he has not landed on a team yet, but there is still time for an opportunity to pop up. Expect him to play with a chip on a shoulder this season and restore his value. If Fuller can stay healthy for a full season he could revitalize his career entirely, however, this has been a difficult task for him in the past.
