Will Smith's touching tribute to son Trey

“Happy Bday, T-Ball. You are responsible for some of the highest experiences of my life,” a caption with the clip read. “You introduced me to the true definition of Love! I met God in your eyes.”

Reflecting on the day Trey was born appeared to be footage from when he created his memoir, Will, in the audiobook recording. The actor also recited lyrics from Just the Two of Us, his 1997 song.

The beginning of the video starts with Smith saying, “Willard Carroll Smith III was born on November 11, 1992. From birth, we called him Trey 'cause he was the third Willard Smith.”

“That night I don't think one wink I slept. As I slipped out of my bed to your crib, I crept. I touched your head gently, and felt my heart melt. ‘Cause I know, I loved you more than life itself. Then, to my knees, and I begged the Lord, please. Let me be a good daddy, all he needs. Love, knowledge, and discipline too. I pledge my life to you,” the rapper said in the video, which are lyrics from the track.

The video continues with more heartfelt moments and reflections about his son's special day.

Along with Trey, Will Smith also has two other children: son Jaden, 25, and daughter Willow, 23. They are both with Jada Pinkett Smith.
