On Saturday night, Philadelphia 76ers veteran Wilson Chandler made his way back to his old stomping ground. The Sixers were visiting the Denver Nuggets, and it was a homecoming of sorts for the 31-year-old, who spent seven seasons with the organization.

In an endearing moment prior to tip-off, Chandler made his way to former coach Mike Malone to have a friendly chat. Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic joined in on the mini reunion, but unfortunately for him, his handshake was left hanging by Chandler.

We counted it, and Chandler left Jokic hanging for a total of eight seconds. That might have felt like an eternity for the Nuggets big man, especially considering the fact that he knew that the cameras were on him. After an extended period of awkwardness, Jokic finally decided to cut his losses and just concede to a self handshake.

To be fair to Chandler, though, he did not appear to see Jokic's handshake attempt in his peripheral, and this does not seem to be intentional at all.

Jokic took his frustrations to the court, and came up with another monstrous performance for the Nuggets. He put up an amazing 32-point, 18-rebound, and 10-assist triple-double, along with two three-pointers, and a steal.

Jokic led the Nuggets to a 126-110 victory against the Sixers who were without the services of Joel Embiid (rest) and Jimmy Butler (wrist). Chandler was also out of action on Saturday as he continues to nurse a minor hamstring injury.

In seven seasons with the Nuggets, Chandler averaged 13.1 points (on 43.9 percent shooting), 1.5 three-pointers, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks.
