Bradley Beal's herculean effort on Wednesday night was not enough for the Washington Wizards to grab a win. The 27-year-old erupted for a career-high of 60 points against the Philadelphia 76ers but the Wizards just couldn't make enough plays down the stretch making Beal's impressive evening rather useless, if you ask him.

“I don't count any of my career highs that have been in losses, so I don't give a damn. Throw them out the window with the other two or three I had.” Beal said after the tough loss (via Fred Katz of The Athletic).

Beal's career night coming in a defeat is nothing new to the two-time All-Star. Just as he mentioned, his two previous career-highs in points came in defeats – he dropped 53 and 55 points on back-to-back outings in February of last year. As Beal puts it, these impressive games don't count as long as Washington ends up trailing at the sound of the final buzzer.

For what it's worth, Beal's highest-scoring output in a win is at 51.

Beal shot an impressive 7-10 from the three-point distance on Wednesday and made 20 of his total 35 shots. He also added seven rebounds and five assists. After exploding for 57 points in the first three quarters of play, Beal struggled in the fourth which ultimately gave the Sixers the winning edge. He shot just 1-6 in the fourth quarter and the Wizards lost by five.

Whether he considers it or not, Beal's outrageous scoring night will go on the official record books and ties the Wizards' franchise record for the highest points scored in a game. The 60-point record was set by Agent 0 himself, Gilbert Arenas. Bradley Beal has the greenest of green lights in Washington and is poised to finally break that record this year. But hopefully, it comes in a Wizards win.
