Chasson Randle will start in the place of Tomas Satoransky in the Washington Wizards' game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.
Satoransky's absence is due to personal reasons, and it appears it likely has something to do with his wife's pregnancy:

Satoransky’s wife was due to have a baby around this team. And while Brooks says he’s not at liberty to disclose why Tomas isn’t here, he said “I’m very happy.”

The Wizards are getting a good year from Satoransky, who is averaging the most minutes of his career. His 8.0 points and 4.3 assists per game are career highs as well. It is unclear how long he will remain away from the team, but Washington will surely let him take as much time as he needs as he deals with this big life event.
This will be Randle's first start of his career. He was signed earlier this season by the Wizards, then released a month later. Then he spent some time with the Capital City Go-Go of the G League. He was recalled by Washington, then waived, and signed once more. Now here we are.
Randle's whole career has looked like that since signing with the New Your Knicks as an undrafted free agent back in 2016. He actually bounced around quite a bit between New York, the 76ers, and the D-League that year.
Randle is playing some of the best basketball of his career. Like Satoransky, Randle is averaging the most minutes of his career with 15.5. That playing time is leading to 6.1 points and 2.2 assists per game, both career highs.
