Candace Parker, Courtney Vandersloot and the Chicago Sky got off to a really slow start on Tuesday against the Las Vegas Aces, so much so that the WNBA showdown appeared to be over right after the first quarter.
However, viewers who thought the Sky are done couldn't be more wrong.
Short story: the Sky still won 104-95. Long story? Well, the Chicago franchise had to erase a 28-point deficit in the game behind huge performances from Vandersloot, Parker and Azura Stevens. In the process, they staged the biggest comeback in WNBA history.

Now that's what comebacks are all about!
The Sky scored just 18 points in the first quarter, struggling to get anything going offensively while the Aces continue to dominate the possession. It led to Las Vegas building what seemed to be an insurmountable 41-18 lead after the opening frame.
Interestingly, the Aces lost their momentum after that and never won a quarter again while the Sky slowly clawed back in the game. The third quarter was Chicago's best period, as they put up 30 points while limiting Las Vegas to just 11. It completely turned the game around and the Windy City franchise never looked back.
Courtney Vandersloot led the scoring for the team with 25 points on top of eight assists, while Azura Stevens had 19 points. Candace Parker, meanwhile, had a huge double-double of 17 points and 10 boards, all while recording four assists and two steals as well.
Funny enough, the Chicago Sky Twitter account had to get back at ESPN after tweeting about that horrendous 41-18 first quarter.
