Cora Jade found a black feather in her locker, which can only mean one thing in this modern day of NXT: Lyra Valkyria wants a shot at the “Generational” talent.

Catching up with McKenzie Mitchell in the locker room after failing to come to the typical interview area, Jade began to talk about why she isn't worried about the former NXT UK standout before the interview had to be abruptly cut off, as something was going on in the parking lot that needed more urgent attention. Though fans didn't know it at the time, the ruckus would prove to be incredibly consequential.

Sitting on the floor clutching her right knee, Nikkita Lyons cried out in pain that someone had attacked her, but she didn't know who. While fans didn't become privy to that information, at least before the show went off the air, Lyons did update them on her status moving forward, noting that she has a torn ACL and meniscus and will be out of action for an unknown but presumably expansive period of time.

“ACL and Meniscus are torn,” Lyons wrote. “This comeback is personal. Thank you to all who consistently show love and genuine support. It means the world to me. Those of you who don’t see the vision, thank you too. Stay ya a** right there. This is just another lesson life needed to teach. Grow Love.”

When will fans see Lyons again in a meaningful in-ring match? It's impossible to know but what is clear is that NXT has a hidden assailant, and whomever it ends up being, be it Zoey Stark or otherwise, it's clear this storyline is just getting started.
