As it turns out, basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal is dead serious about pursuing a career in wrestling. The four-time NBA champion just called out AEW star Cody Rhodes to a wrestling match, and he wasn't even kidding about it. Even rapper Snoop Dogg couldn't help but react to this stirring development.
Here's Shaq going full pro wrestler mode as he virtually announced his return to the world of wrestling (h/t B/R Wrestling):

O'Neal even took off his glasses to show how serious he is about his challenge. He also picked a date already, and he now has a couple of months to prepare for what should be an epic match.
For his part, Snoop Dogg took to Twitter as he shared his excitement about two of his buddies going at it in the ring:
yo i gotta see this, two of the homies goin head to head ! https://t.co/O5tcnuQa1M

Shaquille O'Neal is no stranger to the world of professional wrestling. He's made a few appearances in the WWE in the past but was never able to make his debut. It appears that his time may now finally come.
This also isn't the first time the Shaq-Rhodes rivalry has made headlines. AEW has teased a battle between the two in the past, and as it seems, a highly-anticipated match between the pair will now finally come to fruition.
