The rivalry between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox is one of the fiercest in US sports. The two MLB powerhouses have been going at for centuries at this point, with many different faces representing this rivalry. This time around, the two star hitting repping the franchises are Aaron Judge for the Yanks, and Rafael Devers for the Sox.

Despite the fierce rivalry between the two teams, Aaron Judge knows when to recognize great play from his rivals. After missing the Yankees' 6-5 loss to the Red Sox, Judge praised Devers for his incredible play in that game. Here's what he had to say: (via NBC Sports Boston)

“Oh, it's been impressive,” he told NBC Sports Boston. “It just speaks volumes to what type of player he is and what he can do, man. It's been fun watching him from afar. I usually like watching him more on TV than when he's facing us, but he's a special talent. It's fun to see him develop over the years.”

Judge also noted that Devers' strong hitting isn't relegated to a single pitch, too. Whether it's a fastball down the middle or a sharp slider, the Red Sox star can hit that ball right out of the park. He's a big reason why the Sox haven't completely fallen off a cliff despite their many injuries.

Of course, Aaron Judge is no stranger to knocking balls out of the park. The Yankees star has been miles ahead of his competition thus far, slugging with incredible consistency all season long. When he's on his game, no pitch is safe.
