The New York Yankees are off to a rock-solid start to the 2022 MLB season. They have already played a total of 30 games but have yet to reach 10 losses, going 22-8, thus far. That means a lot of positive things for the Bronx Bombers, including a sweet journey to the World Series if one particular established trend is to be believed.

Apparently, the Yankees have waltzed their way to World Series appearances in all previous seasons in which they won at least 22 games during their first 30 contests, as mentioned on FOX Sports.

On the strength of excellent hitting and pitching, the Yankees have soared to the top of the American League East division. They also have the most wins in the majors this season as of this writing, and there seem to be no signs of the team slowing down. The Yankees are on a 3-0 win streak, having blanked the Toronto Blue Jays in a two-game homestand.

With Aaron Judge, DJ LeMahieu, Giancarlo Stanton, and Anthony Rizzo taking care of business at the plate and a starting rotation that owns the sixth-best ERA (3.73) in the majors, the Yankees are on track for a postseason appearance, at least. That being said, regression is a real thing in baseball, so New York fans can't just count on historical stats to feel secure about the playoff chances of their beloved franchise.
