Former two-time All-Star Zach Randolph is making headlines for all the wrong reasons of late. After a bizarre incident on Twitter back in September wherein he claimed that his account had been hacked, it is now being reported that the 39-year-old's wife has filed for divorce.

Grey Papke of Larry Brown Sports provides the details of this recent development:

On Sept. 2, Randolph’s account tweeted “I MARRIED A H-E” (censored by LBS).

That tweet was quickly deleted, followed by a new message where Randolph claimed his account was hacked. That tweet has also been since deleted. Other users discovered at least one other tweet from several months earlier hinting that Randolph was unhappy with the marriage.

It remains unclear if Randolph's account was really hacked, or if he sent out the now-deleted tweet himself. Whatever the case may be, it seems clear that the couple have been having marital problems, which has now resulted in his wife filing for divorce.

We don't have the details of the filing, so there's no point in speculating how this legal battle will unfold. However, historically speaking, divorces can get messy and extremely costly.

The last we saw the former Most Improved Player of the Year winner in the NBA was during the 2017-18 season with the Sacramento Kings. He officially announced his retirement on December of 2019. Throughout his 17-year career, Zach Randolph is estimated to have earned a total of $199 million in salaries. Hopefully for him, he's spent his money wisely, as he might just be in store for a very expensive legal dispute.
