It's been an interesting offseason for the Baltimore Ravens, as the roster has gone through some changes for the upcoming season. The front office traded away Marquise Brown, which creates an opportunity for Rashod Bateman to lead the way. We should see them in playoff contention, especially if the front office adds a couple more pieces. We take a look at two moves the Ravens must make after the 2022 NFL Draft.
As usual, Baltimore walked out of the draft with a plethora of talented prospects. However, for the Ravens to remain competitive, they'll need some veteran help as well. Two areas in the roster that could use some improvement are the defensive line and wide receiver positions. If the front office can find some veteran help, this team will be tough to beat once the season starts.
It's hard to imagine the Ravens conduct a big trade at this point in the offseason, so we should expect a free agent or two to sign in the coming weeks. This franchise is close to becoming a legitimate Super Bowl contender once again, so keep an eye on this team moving forward.
With that said, here are two moves the Ravens must make to finalize the roster after the 2022 NFL Draft.
Ravens Moves After 2022 NFL Draft
2. Sign Anthony Barr in free agency
Baltimore brought in an exciting prospect in David Ojabo through the NFL Draft. However, Ojabo recently suffered a serious injury and it will take some time for him to get back on the field. For that reason, it'd be smart for the Ravens to bring in a veteran pass rusher to help the team now while Ojabo recovers from injury.
One name that stands out is Anthony Barr. He's had a solid career playing with the Minnesota Vikings and could be a great asset for Baltimore. Additionally, in comparison to Jadeveon Clowney, Barr will likely be willing to sign a cheaper contract. That would give the Ravens a solid veteran on a team-friendly contract, giving David Ojabo the time he needs to recover.
Signing Anthony Barr would complete Baltimore's roster. The defense is stacked throughout and would be in a great spot with him on the team. Meanwhile, it buys Ojabo some time to get healthy. If the Ravens can't sign Barr, some other names to consider are Akiem Hicks, Jerry Hughes, and Jason Pierre-Paul.

1. Acquire a free agent wide receiver
After trading Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals, the Ravens are in an interesting situation for their wide receiver room. Rashod Bateman becomes the top pass option outside of Mark Andrews. Meanwhile, Devin Duvernay and James Proche will have a chance to play major roles in this offense. Even so, it'd be smart of Baltimore to find a veteran receiver in free agency to put the roster over the top.
Considering how deep the roster is, it shouldn't be hard for the Ravens to find a solid veteran receiver. Lamar Jackson is one of the most electrifying quarterbacks in the league and puts his team in a position to win every week. If any veteran receiver is looking for a chance to win a Super Bowl, signing with Baltimore would be a great decision.
Three names stand out as great fits for the Ravens roster. Those being Julio Jones, Jarvis Landry, and Will Fuller. Each of them brings something unique to the table and could help Baltimore's offense be competitive in the passing game. Jones is a red zone target, Landry is a possession receiver, and Fuller is a deep threat. Baltimore can't go wrong in signing either of these talented veterans.
