Tickle zero people shocked that the 2020 Northern Trust is an event worth watching when both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are playing well. How do we know the two golf superstars are doing so well? Well, I’m glad you asked, my friend.

At the time of this writing, Dustin Johnson (-15) and Scottie Scheffler (-13) are in the day’s last pairing after playing in the final pairing on Sunday of the PGA Championship. As for Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in the 2020 Northern Trust, Tiger recently dropped back to -2 after putting himself in some weird spots (including a bogey), which is where Rory as well; though he’s doing mostly fine for himself.

Given the scores, neither talent is in position to win the event, but in terms of consumption relative to entertainment, if they keep up the pace they’re at now, this should make for some quality viewing on a lazy Saturday.

That being said, Tiger Woods is starting to fall off a bit. Rory McIlroy is doing mostly fine, even if he’s not in contention to win the 2020 Northern Trust.

Nevertheless, with some holes left, both can use it as a building moment for the next event. We’ll keep you posted if/when other crazy things go down at the event.
