It's now officially the WWE 2K24 season, as 2K Sports and Visual Concepts released teasers for the upcoming annual sports game on social media, heavily teasing involvement from WWE Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin and WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley.

The teasers started when Visual Concepts updated their socials on X.com with a new profile picture, showcasing the game's logo. Now with an official logo, fans no longer have to photoshop its last digit to make 2K24 mockups – the new logo is exactly the same as last year's but with a new number, after all.

The teasers continued with a video reel featuring WWE Superstars being asked who they think will be the cover athlete for WWE 2K24. It wasn't revealed in this video, but the subsequent tweets gave us more teasers on when to expect bigger news to come out.

In two of the most recent tweets as of press time, the date 1.22.2024 is teased as the date when more details about the upcoming game will be revealed. The teasers also indicate that the game's cover athletes might get revealed at that time, with teasers for Rhea Ripley and Stone Cold Steve Austin featured in images on those posts.

There's also a possibility that more than one athlete will grace the cover, with multiple names floating in the video reel shown above. Except for WWE 2K20 which featured the pair of Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns, WWE 2K hasn't featured multiple superstars in the same video game cover, so having more than two in the next installment would be a first for the series.

How about you, who do you think will be the cover athlete for WWE 2K24?

In other WWE 2K news and rumors, speculations still run wild on the inclusions of this year's roster, with some hoping that MJF would somehow end up in a WWE game this year, to the Dudley Boyz having a more likely chance of being part of this year's roster. There are hopes for Bray Wyatt to feature heavily in the next game, but who knows at this point?
