Paul Pogba will surely be a huge loss for Manchester United and the club needs to find a suitable replacement if things will not work out in the near future.

With just more than six months left on his current deal with Manchester United, Paul Pogba's future with the club has been deemed uncertain to this day. If the Frenchman's contract expires next summer, then the Red Devils will lose him for free.

Unfortunately, Pogba has yet to show signs of planning to prolong his stay at Old Trafford. And the stalling has prompted Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick to be open for his departure.

“Players have to want to stay and play for the club,” Rangnick told Sky Sports when discussing Pogba's situation. “For a big club like Manchester United, if a player does not want to play for a club like Manchester United, even in the long term, I don't think it makes sense to convince him to change his mind. This is such a massive club [with] such fantastic support, I don't think that anyone in the club should then try to convince the player to stay.”

“But on the other hand, let's wait and see. I've spoken with him for 15 minutes over the phone a few days ago. Let's have him come back, get fully fit, train with the team and then we will see where we stand [and] how the team has developed by then,” the manager explained. “He can be an important player, I'm fully aware of that, but this is true for all the other players that we have.

“I'm not only the coach of Paul Pogba once he's fully fit, I'm also the coach of all the other players and my ambition is to make them better, to develop each individual player, and this is only possible by improving the performance of the whole team,” he added.

Following Rangnick's statement about Pogba, the club conveniently got linked to a transfer swoop for a number of midfielders. For sure, Manchester United got the money to spurge for a ewll-rounded midfielder.

However, the question is, is he a worthy replacement for a World Cup winner like Pogba? At the moment, four midfielders appears to be presenting a strong case.

Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Manchester United is believed to have been considering Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a fallback for Pogba.

Milinkovic-Savic is still tied up with Lazio until 2024 but reputable Italian outlet Calciomercato reported that the midfield star has already reached an agreement with the club, which will likely see him leaving at the end of the current season.

His agent, Mateja Kezman, had initially put a price tag on him valued around £64 million of €75 million, a figure Manchester United can possibly afford.

As for how Milinkovic-Savic compares to Pogba, well, Lazio is not one of the best clubs in Serie A right now but Milinkovic-Savic has been a key figure in the club. His five goals and six assists so far also speaks for itself. He's doesn't need to be the focal point of the attack, but it's good that he can orchestrate good plays, especially if he's going to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Marseille's Boubacar Kamara

Widespread rumors claim that Manchester United has already earmarked  as a “ready-made replacement for Pogba.” The Athletic also reported that the Red Devils will turn to Kamara once sure that Pogba will not be extending his contract.

Whatever the real situation is, Kamara has a bright future ahead of him. And this is what Manchester United could be holding on to at this point.

At 22 years old, Kamara is already a regular starter at Marseille's senior team, having been so for four consecutive seasons. This makes his resume impressive and atop that Rangnick likes to hone young players so it makes sense bringing in Kamara to replace a 28-year-old Pogba.

Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga

Manchester United was reportedly interested in Eduardo Camavinga this past summer. However, it was La Liga giants Real Madrid ended up signing the highly-touted midfielder.

Now, there's almost zero chances that Manchester United is stealing Camavinga from Los Blancos anytime soon. However, the teenager made the list simply because Pogba himself once admitted that he sees “a bit” of himself in Camavinga.

“I was truly happy for him,” Pogba said of Camavinga last year. “I only wish him the best and much more. He has everything for that. His future is in his hands.”

“He is very at ease, he is a little dancer,” the four-time Serie A champ added. “He makes me think a bit about me. He is not a timid person. It is good because he is confident. He has confidence in his qualities. He is a very good youngster, I like him enormously.”
