The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the most interesting teams in the NFL right now. They somehow managed to sneak into the postseason in 2021, and they followed up that achievement with one of the best offseasons in the league. Free agency was largely successful. Philly managed to add guys like Haason Reddick and James Bradberry. However, the draft is where the Eagles really exceeded. General manager Howie Roseman put on a show, landing strong talent in nearly every single round of the draft. The Eagles were essentially perfect this offseason, but there are still some holes that need addressing. Philadelphia would benefit from adding depth at wide receiver, cornerback, and safety before the regular season begins.

Eagles Trade Targets To Complete 2022 Roster

3. Robbie Anderson

Anderson is the premier wide receiver on the trade market. The speedster has been expressing his discontent with his current team, the Carolina Panthers, for months now. He's looking to move on from his current situation, and the Panthers should be looking to unload him for a relatively cheap price.

Anderson's stat lines don't reflect how effective he's been in recent years. He still has top-end speed, and that skill set would fit perfectly with what the Eagles need. They have AJ Brown to fill the role of the X receiver, and Devonta Smith is a solid second option. However, neither guy provides a real speed threat.

Anderson would be the only player on the roster who could really provide a vertical threat to opposing defenses. He would also provide some depth at the position, which is always a benefit. Adding Anderson would significantly improve the wide receiver room in Philadelphia, and it wouldn't cost all that much to acquire him.

2. Tre Herndon

This isn't an exciting move, but it would give the Eagles some better depth at the cornerback position. Tre Herndon has been playing significant snaps for the Jacksonville Jaguars for years now. It's clear he's not a starting caliber player. However, his experience and ability should make him a capable backup. Philadelphia has entrenched starters in James Bradberry and Darius Slay. So, a solid backup is all they're really looking for as they enter the regular season.

This trade makes a ton of sense for both the Jags and the Eagles. Jacksonville loaded up with cornerback talent over the last couple of seasons, adding Darious Williams, Shaquill Griffin, and Tyson Campbell. Herndon is buried on that depth chart, so the Jags would likely be happy to get some value for him. The Eagles would be adding a solid third cornerback who would almost certainly see the field at some point in the year. That seems like a slam-dunk move for both teams.

1. Ronnie Harrison

The Eagles are shockingly thin at the safety position. Marcus Epps and Anthony Harris are set to start at the position, and neither guy is a great player. Epps is better served playing special teams or operating as a primary backup. K'Von Wallace is the only player on the roster who could be a decent backup. It's clear that this is one of the weakest spots on Philadelphia's roster. They should be looking to correct that before the season rolls around.

Harrison is the perfect guy to fill the hole at the position. He has starting experience with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cleveland Browns, and his play has always been more than adequate. Harrison won't ever be a Pro Bowl player, but he will give slightly above-average safety play to his team. That's more than Epps and Harris can do. Harrison is also buried on a loaded Browns depth chart, so it likely wouldn't be that hard to trade for him.
