The Sacramento Kings are in a very interesting position during the NBA trade deadline. They certainly have a lot of talent on their team and there are probably about five or six guys that contending teams are going to be making phone calls about. They have not been playing well this season once again with the current roster that they have, despite all the talent that they do have on their team. The Kings are 15-22 on the season and just haven't been looking like a team that is going to make any noise this year.

Whether they decide to go into a rebuild situation, or decide to bring in a few more guys to help them get better, the Kings obviously need to make some moves. Let's take a look at three guys that the Kings could decide to move on from at the NBA trade deadline.

King NBA Trade Deadline

3. Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield was already one of the first players that was going to be traded last offseason with the Los Angeles Lakers, but they decided to go ahead with Russell Westbrook instead. He is once again a big name at the NBA trade deadline because he is one of the best shooters in all of the NBA. A team is always going to be looking for somebody who can score at a high level, and shoot at a high level, which is what Hield does.

The Kings are in an interesting position because if they do go out and make a few moves, they could be a very, very good team. The reality of the situation is either if they are going to rebuild, or go out and get that second guy, Hield might not be a part of this team's future regardless. It's not because he's necessarily a bad player, it's because the Kings are loaded at the guard position. They have De'Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, while also having Davion Mitchell. It wouldn't make much sense for them to keep him around because there's really not a ton of room for him to play and with the return that he could get, it would make a lot of sense from the King standpoint to get rid of him.

2. Marvin Bagley

Marvin Bagley is a good player but hasn't necessarily formed into the player that many were hoping him to be out of college. That doesn't necessarily mean that he can't do that somewhere else, but right now in Sacramento, it doesn't seem like he is in the place where he is going to do that.

He hasn't been great in Sacramento and that's why they might decide to get rid of him. Factor in that many teams are going to be looking for a center at the NBA trade deadline, he is still only 22 years old, and it could be time to move on from him.

This is where it's going to get interesting because if he does start to perform better, it would make a lot of sense for the Kings to keep him around. If Marvin Bagley is going to be in that rebuild situation, he is still 22 years old and can certainly help speed up the process. If he is going to be on the Kings team that is going to go out and get a second guy, it would make even more sense because he is still so young and still has a lot of potential in this league.

The Kings are in an interesting spot with him but they also have to factor in how many teams are going to want a center at the NBA trade deadline. They have to realize what type of package they can get back for Marvin Bagley. If they can get back something of value, it would make a lot of sense to get rid of him.

1. Harrison Barnes

Harrison Barnes is going to be an interesting name because he is 29 years old but has been playing some very good basketball this season. He's going to be another guy that the Kings aren't going to want to get rid of if they do decide to bring in some more pieces. If they do decide to go towards a rebuild situation, there is no reason to have a 30 year old on the team.

Factor in that you can send him to any contending team and get back a decent return, it could be time to move on from him. A team who gets him is immediately getting better whether they put him as the first option off the bench, or as a starter. He fits any role that a team would want considering that he is a forward and he could defend at a high level from the 1-4 positions.

Barnes is going to be one of the more interesting players to keep an eye on it during the trade deadline because he does have a lot of value while he's averaging 17 points per game. The Kings could get back a decent package for him so it could make sense from their standpoint to decide to get rid of him.
